RDCC host special guest speakers Tony Campolo and Shane Claiborne for Urban Change Makers launch

This weekend we celebrated of the launch of the Urban Change Makers course, as founded by inspirational missionaries and authors - Ash and Anj Barker. Consisting of a seminar and service featuring internationally renowned church leaders and speakers Tony Campolo (professor emeritus of sociology at Eastern University, leader and founder of led the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education and author of over 35 books) and Shane Claiborne (leading figure in the New Monasticism movement and author of the book, The Irresistible Revolution: Living as an Ordinary Radical)


The programme focuses on equipping urban leaders aged 18-35 (as a focus, not a rule) to build their capacity for compassion, resilience and innovation in their urban contexts. The course requires 1 weekend a month and a willingness to engage and reflect on social activism, community development or social enterprise. The next circuit starts in Sept 2018.
